OPERATIONS MANAGER (Full Time - Sun Valley, CA)
As an Operations Manager, you will manage a team of 25-40 truck members and ensure our daily operation performs at a high level at all times. The Operations Manager is the sole point of contact for the truck team members, management, and our Sales Center to ensure everything is in place to provide an efficient and profitable operation. The ideal candidate for this position will command exceptional performance from truck teams and ensure 5-Star service to every customer, every day. This position is based in Sun Valley, CA and is responsible for routes throughout the Los Angeles Metro franchise, which comprises service territories from downtown Los Angeles, through Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, and Santa Maria County.
About the Position:
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be focused on driving daily revenue/profit goals through precise execution of daily truck team routes and management of controlled costs
Manage daily dispatch schedule to ensure maximum route availability and on-time service
Complete and manage calls from customers, truck teams, management, and our Sales Center
Control daily costs by enforcing our diversion protocol regarding truck team disposal, recycling, and donations
Complete daily tracking of truck team revenue, financial KPIs, same day add-on jobs, and National Account protocols
Ensure compliance with California Rest & Meal Break laws & 1-800-GOT-JUNK? Performance standards
Support the General Manager with the coaching, training, and development of all Truck Team Members
Consistently track team member performance through Notes to File and Corrective Action forms
Maintain a clean & organized warehouse and ensure team members have all tools/materials that they need
Manage Glendale truck fleet through daily inspections, cleanliness protocols, and repairs as needed

Completion of administrative tasks including bank deposits, invoicing customers, and EOM inventory

Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required & 3+ years of experience in a similar role managing 15+ direct reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate clearly & concisely, verbally and in writing
Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
Comfortability with a fast paced, high pressure environment. Ideal candidate is able to adapt to change, quickly
Proficient in G Suite, Salesforce, and familiarity using commercial GPS software
Must be able and willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying hours with reliable transportation to and from work
Compensation:
$70k - $75k per year (inclusive of base pay, and commensurate with experience)
